SWIM Australia™ Teacher Course

Get accredited to become a qualified Swimming and Water Safety Teacher with Swim Australia, who are the peak body for swimming Coaches, Teachers and Swim Schools in Australia and are dedicated to developing world leading practices in the education, accreditation, professional development and ongoing support for swimming Coaches and water safety Teachers.

By completing the course, you will gain the competency and knowledge to teacher students from 2.5 years old and above. Conducted by industry leaders, the course provides you with all of the resources required and guidance through the process of completing the Swim Australia Teacher Course.

During the course, you will undergo 5 units of competency :

• Perform water rescues
• Plan swimming lessons
• Teach water familiarization, buoyancy and mobility skills
• Teach water safety and survival skills
• Teach swimming strokes

The course is composed of :

• Theory component : Online modules to be completed BEFORE the face to face practical workshop
• Practical component : 1 day course (in person classroom theory and in water practical sessions)
• Supervised practices
• Assessment component
